Hatha Yoga: Sun And Moon

Hatha yoga is a physical practice that includes controlling breath techniques and both mind and soul partials. Advanced learners call it as moving meditation. Hatha yoga is one of the physical practices of yoga, more comprehensible than some other types.

If you are going to start your yoga practice with Hatha yoga, your class will probably start with some simple breathing exercises and perhaps seated meditation. Hatha yoga class is a good place to get you familiar with basic poses, relaxation techniques, and take a closer look at yoga as a gymnastic, thinking way and philosophy.

The word "hatha" comes from the Sanskrit terms "ha" meaning "sun", and "tha" meaning "moon". Therethrough Hatha yoga is a kind of yoga that compares pairs of opposites referring to the positive (sun) and negative (moon) directions of the system. Hatha also represents opposing energies: hot and cold (fire and water, following similar concept as yin-yang), male and female, and so on. It teaches you to manage both sides of your nature. Hatha yoga turns one's mind to a balance of mind and body through relaxation, meditation and control of breathing. Its poses teach to keep balance and strength.

Hatha yoga comes from the 15th century from India. This particular system is the most popular one in the West today. It is a bit different from other styles of yoga: Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga or Kundalini Yoga.

Hatha yoga watches out for a harmony between body and mind. It makes a whole world view and makes free the more subtle spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses, breathing and meditation.

Hatha yoga makes affection towards many people, because it can also help you to wrest out stress, relieve effort, and deal with anxiety, fear and depression. It is important to keep in mind that, hatha yoga helps you to train to focus that is, in its turn, an essential part of meditation.

The mental technique of Hatha yoga is founded on the statement that Hatha yoga's relaxation exercises help a person to open the energy channels that allows spiritual energy to move freely. At the same time, set eyes on a fact that some Hatha yoga poses also work upon your internal organs, help to prevent diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, and hypertension. Yoga is a good treatment for some other diseases. Yoga techniques also bring balance to internal and glandular functions. So a lot of people say yoga benefits them more, than thousands good doctors.
