Is Bodylastics home gym, a good solution for you to exercise with in your home?

In the past bulky muscles was what everyone wanted. Today most people want to be fit, healthy, and have a lean physique. Many individuals just want to appear attractive. So they can catch the eye of the opposite sex.

Some want to be able to perform better in sports or be able to handle themselves in any situation. Many just want some extra energy to keep up with the day-to-day demands of family, jobs and social life.

Still others are more interested in their general health and living a longer life. Whatever the reason, in today's day and age it's important for all of us to have a planned program of exercise and good nutritional habits.

Bodylastics Home Gym vs. Health Clubs

Perhaps you, like some of my friends feel that the best way to get in shape is to join an expensive health club. But gyms are not inexpensive, in most of the Northeast, they cost approximately $1000 per year.

I don't know about you, but that's a lot of money!

So what's the solution? Do push-ups until your arms fall off?

I was recently asked by a friend of mine to take a look at the Bodylastics home gym.

Bodylastics home gym bills itself as the $50 alternative to Bowflex. According to the Bodylastics literature you can perform up to 140 health club type exercises in the convenience and comfort of your own home with the Bodylastics home gym.

In effect, it's very similar to a set of dumbbells, in that instead of adding plates, you would just add additional exercise bands. More than 7 Bodylastics elastic bands can be attached to a single handle, giving you the ability to create from 15 to 94 different levels of tension.

Whether it's better than a Bowflex or TotalGym is really up to the individual. Obviously, Bodylastics home gym is much, much less expensive than either of those two systems.

The resistance you get from elastic bands is very smooth, and that you can perform 140 exercises does make this a very strong contender, in my opinion.

Bodylastics home gym may well be the alternative to an expensive exercise machine.
