Woohoo is the sound you make when you jump on a safe and well maintained trampoline!
Safety pads are necessary for the jumper to be able to jump with confidence. Confidence that they will be protected should they land on the outer edge of the trampoline.
Without a pad, a jumper can slip through the springs and get severly injured. So take care to keep your pad working properly. If you notice that your trampoline pad is tearing and no longer structurally sound, then make no delay and order a replacement pad.
Do not use or allow anyone else to use the trampoline!
Now, the fun part is the shopping. You will notice that trampoline pads come in different shape, size, thickness, width, and material. Figure out if you have a trampoline that requires special pads, and refer to the owner's manual to make sure what trampoline safety pads you need.
Always measure your trampoline multiple times to gather the correct information.
Now look through the available pads on the market to figure out what pad you want. You want to make sure that your trampoline pad is at least 3/4" where the trampoline safety pad covers the frame. Also make sure that you get pads that are wide enough. If you have springs that are 7" long then you must use 10.5" pads at the least.
If you are on a budget then a cheap PE (Polyethelene) pad will do. These pads will not last as long as a pad made of PVC (Polyvinyl chloride). The sun's harsh and constant bombardment of UV rays will deteriorate the material very fast. PVC is the economical choice when comparing value dollar for dollar. Trampoline pads made of PVC will last longer and look newer.
If you are unsure of the size or have an irregular sized round trampoline frame, then consider picking up a Universal Trampoline Safety Pad. These pads are designed to fit any round trampoline sizes 12 ft. to 15 ft. You can adjust these pads to fit your trampoline properly.
